===================== MAPI MESSAGE PAD 4.0 ===================== MAPI Message Pad is a "While You Were Out" type telephone message system for Windows 95 and Windows NT. Message Pad utilizes the messaging services (MAPI) provided by Windows. It requires a post office and user accounts created with Microsoft Mail or the Mail application provided with Windows 95 or Windows NT 3.51. The shareware version of Message Pad is freely distributable. It includes all of the features of the registered version, except for database features which require additional database runtime files. --------------------------- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS --------------------------- If you have previously installed an earlier version of MAPI Message Pad 4.0, you should uninstall it before proceeding further. To uninstall Message Pad in Windows NT, run the Uninstall program in the Message Pad program group. To uninstall Message Pad in Windows 95: * Select Settings/Control Panel from the Start menu * In the Control Panel, double click on Add/Remove Programs * Select MAPI Message Pad in the program list, and click the Add/Remove button. To install Message Pad in Windows 95 using the Setup program: * Click the Start button and select the Run command * In the Command Line box, type X:\SourcePath\Setup, where X:\SourcePath is the drive and directory where the Message Pad files are located. To install Message Pad in Windows NT using the Setup program: * From the Windows Program Manager's File menu, choose Run * In the Command Line box, type X:\SourcePath\Setup, where X:\SourcePath is the drive and directory where the Message Pad files are located. You also must have a post office and user accounts created with MS Mail. You do not need to set up any additional accounts or tell Message Pad who you are.
